I have always loved shoes. I mean, what woman doesn’t? But my passion for shoes developed later in life, in my mid 30’s when I was diagnosed with a neurological disease that affected my nerves and joints throughout my body. At around 37 years old, I could no longer wear high heel shoes or any shoe that put lots of pressure on my toes or heels. So of course, it was natural that every time I saw a pair of really cute shoes that I knew I couldn’t wear, the desire to have them was even stronger. It’s just like someone who is diabetic and has a love for sweets — but cannot eat it. Same thing. Well sort of.. I knew I wanted to have a shoe company because of my love for shoes. And although I couldn’t wear the beautiful Givenchy heels or the Jimmy Choo’s, I wanted to be able to have a store that sell beautiful shoes to women who love them as much as me. Not only that, but shoes that are affordable to purchase. I created Knoggy, which is a new and pre-owned shoe marketplace.
